LACEM 2025

Welcome to LACEM 2025!

The 1st Latin American Conference on Eye Movements (LACEM) will take place in Viña del Mar, Chile, from December 10th to 12th, 2025. As the first event of its kind in Latin America, LACEM aims to establish an international platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. The conference seeks to foster communication and cooperation among researchers from diverse basic and applied fields, including psychology, linguistics, neurophysiology, computer science, education, marketing, and beyond. The conference will focus on research topics relevant to Latin America and languages spoken in Latin America.

Venue – María Teresa Brown Center (Campus Sausalito) – 10 December

LACEM 2025 will take place at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education in Viña del Mar, located within the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso’s María Teresa Brown University Center, also known as Campus Sausalito (Avenida El Bosque 1290, Viña del Mar). The campus borders Laguna Sausalito and houses most of the Faculty’s academic units, including the Schools of Physical Education, Pedagogy, and Psychology, as well as the Institutes of Philosophy and Literature and Language Sciences.

Venue – Casa Central PUCV – 11-12 December

LACEM 2025 will also hold activities at the Casa Central of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, located in the heart of Valparaíso (Avenida Brasil 2950). This historic building, declared a national monument, serves as the university’s main academic seat and houses its principal institutional offices.

During these days, the organization will provide shuttle transportation from the official conference hotel to the venue in the morning, and return trips will be available in the afternoon.

Important dates

15 April 2025 – Call for papers.
1 July ~~15 June 2025~~ – Extended deadline for abstract submissions.
25 July 2025 – Notification of acceptance.
31 October – Deadline for early registration.
10-12 December 2025 – LACEM 2025.
